By train (or bus)

By air
Logan Airport (BOS)
Boston’s Logan Airport is located minutes from downtown Boston, and is by far the most convenient way to fly into the city. Once at the airport, you have several options for getting downtown:
- Renting cars at Logan is easy.
- A taxi between Logan and the Colonnade or the Hampton Inn is likely to cost about $30.
- The Hampton Inn offers free shuttle service to and from Logan Airport seven days a week.
- Public transportation in Boston is run by the Massachuetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and is known colloquially as “the T.” At the airport, the MBTA Silver Line (bus rapid transit) stops at every terminal. It will take you directly to South Station in Boston’s downtown financial district. The airport is also served by a blue line station and water taxi service, which may be convenient depending on where you are heading. Google transit (also accessible via Google Maps on smart phones and over the web) offers accurate directions for using Boston’s public transit options.
